The big climb.

On May 22, 2003 Yuichiro Miura, a professional skier and a high school headmaster from Sapporo in Japan became the oldest man to reach the summit of Mount Everest at the age of 70. He was among 31 people who reached the summit on Thursday as part of the Miura Everest 2003 Expedition.
He achieved the goal just seven days before the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary

If you can imagine it, you can achieve it.

If you ever think, it is too late, too hard, too expensive or too anything, read these stories.

47-year-old New Zealander Mark Inglis has become the first man without legs to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
The astonishing feat was accomplished using a pair of carbon fibre prosthetic legs. Mr Inglis lost his legs below the knees at the age of 24 after being trapped in an ice cave for 14 days. The ascent was not without peril. One of his legs broke at about 7,000 feet, but he was able to replace it with some spare legs he'd brought along. He also caught laryngitis which nearly left him speechless. His fingers are severely frostbitten and one may have to be amputated. Mr Inglis reportedly joked that at least his feet wouldn't freeze. Prior to this climb he had reached the summit of Mount Cho Oyu in Tibet, the world's sixth tallest mountain.

101 Years young with a new hobby.

Frank Moody, 101, from Holloways Beach, Cairns, Australia, has jumped way into record books on Wednesday, by doing a tandem skydive from 3000 feet.
Amanda Pilkington, a spokeswoman for Skydive Cairns, said: "He's an absolute legend. It was a bit of a drunken dare by some of his mates at the local Holloways Beach football club. He said 'Sure, I'll go jump out of an aeroplane.'"
and he did!
Simply amazing

Bart Bunting is one of the best skiers in the world. He's won the most prestigious events of his sport, and almost always finishes in the top five in any event he enters. He's one of the best skiers in the world, but even if you follow skiing you've probably never heard of him. He competes in a different league doing things most skiers can't, flying down hill at break-neck speeds without the benefit of sight, that's right he's blind.
The most notable of his skiing achievements are the gold and silver medals won at the 2002 Salt Lake City Paralympic Games. Gold, in downhill and super g, and silver in giant slalom earned Bart the honour of carrying the Australian flag into the closing ceremony of the Salt Lake games.
